1:01pm: Got a job :)
Just got a job offer yesterday! And it's at a really good company in Atlanta, and I'm super excited :) Everyone who works there is really cool (okay, so it consists of four people) but I think I like it better that way.

Anyways, I need to brace myself for the immense amount of senioritis that is about to hit... very soon. AH. Just need to finish up my senior project then, omg... college is friggin' over. OVER! YES!!

Happy because:
1) I have a job waiting for me when I graduate...
2) Paul's moving to Atlanta
3) Going to Niagara Falls in May
4) Going to Taiwan in May

*sighs*... I'm content now.

They're ignorant and think they're better than everyone because they're a fn' athlete.

8:36am: silly architects
So is it bad of me to laugh at the silly little arch majors when they're freaking out in the morning at the multimedia studio because they need to print stuff out for studio and they're running out of time? HAHA! I think it's hilarious. Seriously, is it really that hard to get your stuff done early? It's never been a problem for me. And I'm working on extra projects on the side as well. All-nighters? Yeah, I've never done one of those before, and I don't intend to.

Geez, seriously... just do your work during the day and get it done early. It's really not that hard to do... retards.

9:17am: early Saturday
I woke up at 7:14am this morning. It's Saturday. Blah. And now I'm at the library, "working." Well, working on my senior thesis, which is a project for my job. Let's see how much I can get done today. I'm trying to finish up my online portfolio so that I can really start applying for jobs that I want. I got a prelim call from this one company in Atlanta, but after researching up on them.. yeah...don't really want to work there.

So, why am I wasting time on here when I should be working hard? I think I'm distracted easily. And I think it's also because I know I can get a lot done in a short amount of time when I actually get to it.

This was supposed to be my weekend of getting work done, but (of course) turns out that Paul's in town because his parents are visiting for a new days from NY. So, I went out to dinner with his whole family (aside from his dad and one of his brothers) last night. And I'm gonna head over there this afternoon after I get off of work. Yeah... not really gonna get as much work done as I had hoped.

Maybe I should get back to work now...

HAHA I just yelled at a stupid Tech retard. Someone broke one of the paper trays in our color printer and so we put up signs instructing people to not open the paper trays. However, the "intelligent" tech students apparently can't read and still open the trays. Wow. And I thought Georgia Tech students were supposed to be smart.

Yeah what it actually is... is that Tech students think that since they are "smart" and are paying for their tuition (even though most of them aren't because of Hope) and so they think that they can do whatever they want. Yeah, see what I have to deal with everyday?

I can't wait to get out of here. Get to somewhere where people actually have a sense of style. I think I'm going downhill, especially this semester. I think Sophia's right, if you dress well when you're at Tech, you feel stupid. Therefore, you dress badly to fit in. For me, it's more like... why bother? I sit in the library all day and I really don't see anyone remotely worth impressing.

Oh nice, there's a tour group in the library now. Maybe I should go up and tell them to not come here.

10:29am: and... I'm back
It's been almost a year since I've been on this thing. And I don't know why I'm writing on here again.

I'm starting to freak out about finding a job now. I only have about two months left to find one. AH! Well, I'll be sending the resumes and portfolio out to various interactive firms by next week so hopefully I'll hear back from one of two of them. Argh.

Oh, and I should be working on my senior thesis right now. But Flash keeps crashing on me and I'm about to start pulling my hair out.

Paul made me a scrapbook for Valentine's Day and that's still making me smile :)

Okay, back to work

4:20pm: i'm bored
Looks like I'm getting a 4.0 this semester, *pats self on back* I have now truly become a sick workaholic. Or maybe I'm just damn good at sucking up to my professors now.... just kidding. I am a workaholic. Someone save me.

So... helped the IDSA crew clean up the design shop last night. I know, I know, don't ask. I was on campus checking my email, etc (since I have no internet at my apt) and I remembered that Matt had sent an email asking for people to help out with cleaning the shop so I headed my cute little butt downstairs and found David Ringholtz and Matt sweeping up a freakin' huge pile of crap (ie. wood, mdf, foam, other crap). So I stayed for about 2.5 hours helping them sweep the floor, organize the tools (most of which I have no idea what they are... there was this thing that looked like a old school hand mixer... turns out it was a hand drill... yeah, I'm a freakin' girly girl. deal with it), take the trash out, sweep the floor again... wow, it was fun.

Anyways. Somehow I got talked into going to see King Kong... it took both Fredo and Matt to talk me into it (Fredo asked, Matt demanded). I dunno, a 3hr1min movie wasn't sounding too appealing at 10pm at night. But, we went... and it was a pretty darn good movie too. The casting was pretty near perfect, though I don't know how I feel about Jack Black being in the movie, I couldn't forget that it was him. But the cg work was amazing, except the lighting was off during one of the sequences. There were some nice shots too, some were exaggerated. But I guess that works for this type of movie. So... go see it if you haven't already :)

I really need to find something to do... maybe I'll learn AfterEffects, then perhaps Cinema4D if there's time.

Thursday: 2 hrs of dance (jazz and hip hop), Friday: 1.5 hrs of dance (jazz), Saturday: 2 hrs of dance (turns tech and jazz), today: 3 hrs of dance (2hrs/jazz, 1hr/hip hop). Ahh... yeah. Oh, and happy birthday to David! He's turning 41 today?.. I think?

And looks like I may be going to Italy this summer for 5 weeks for a film program with GT. Assuming that I get a pre-req override ... going to talk to the professor tomorrow.

10:41am: SoCal here I come!
...well, in about 17 months

Yesterday at jazz class, I was talking to Hallie about being a design major (she's a lawyer). Then David comes over and somehow we ended up talking about the aquarium and how well it's designed (or something). I mentioned that I wanted to go to film school after graduation:

David: "Where do you want to go?" (upon grabbing me in a headlock)
Me: "USC"
David: "Good! And I'll write you a letter of recommendation to Margo Apostolos, and you'll get in on a dance scholarship and then sneak into the film school... because I used to teach at USC."
Me: *blank stare*

Your type is the most likely to appreciate a good insult and/or broken bone and/or very very fat person dancing.

9:09am: dance dance dance on my mind...
Big critique in studio on Monday morning, and I could care less at the moment (very bad, I know). Dance performance tonight! WAHOO!! Dress rehearsal was last night and oh man is it going to be an awesome show. The guy who's doing our music wasn't happy with the "million dollar" sound equipment at the theatre, so he's bringing his own "million dollar" sound equipment to supplement, we're gonna blast the heck outta that place. And we have a professional light company coming in to do our lighting (ie. spotlights, etc). So yeah, we're doing a show tonight and another one tomorrow night. I'm gonna hurt on Monday... dancing in heels isn't all that comfortable... But can you feel the excitement?! :D

We're also getting a new dance studio. The new place used to be a L.A. Fitness, 10,000 sq feet, 3 dance studios, and a stage area that seats 200 people. Looks like we're the only dance studio in the country to have our own stage. Pretty cool huh? :)

David (Norwood) still won't leave me alone about being "psycho." Apparently he thinks I'm two-faced... says that I'm a nun in his classes and crazy in Tay's (hip hop) classes. Oh well, what're you gonna do? :P

BAH. I guess I should go get some sketching done before heading over for sound and light check...
